Questions?

  • Attend our workshop August 16 (future workshop dates to be announced)
  • Come to a drop in session in the CTL office on Wednesday afternoons between 1-3 pm
  • Contact your subject librarian or Sherri Savage or phone (250)-807-8410

An updated online guide to the new system will be announced and available soon.

Connect (Blackboard online learning management replaces WebCT Vista)
All courses at UBC Okanagan have been created and may be made available to students online in Connect upon instructor request for the first day of classes or another specified date. Instructors and students need to use their CWL ID to login. If you would like to request course availability, change the start date or have previously taught content from WebCT Vista imported into this new environment, please fill out the course Setup Form.

The Centre for Teaching and Learning is offering a variety of workshops and training sessions to help you to set up and use Connect.  For a complete listing of workshops you can register to attend, please visit CTL Faculty Events or for online resources, documentation and video tutorials visit CTL Instructor Resources.

This change from WebCT Vista to Connect will be advertised to students through posters, bookmarks, the Learning Commons in the library and our websites.  You may need to let returning students know that you will be using Connect as many of them will be accustomed to accessing courses through WebCT Vista (which continues to be available for some students at UBC Vancouver campus).

All information, support options and resources will be updated regularly on our CTL Blackboard website. Please direct any questions or concerns to e-learning UBCO.

This summer is proving to be a busy one....

Some of the CTL team were able to attend and present at a variety of conferences across the country in June.

We are wrapping up research projects and pilot projects and have recharged our batteries in an effort to better serve faculty this fall with new teaching strategies, workshops and the integration of collaborative technologies to enhance student learning at UBC Okanagan!
