WebCT Vista to LMS in May 2012

UBC Okanagan is pleased to announce that our campus is playing an important role in the transition from WebCT Vista to our new LMS (learning management system), BlackBoard Learn.  We are pleased to have 6 professors participating in the pilot of BlackBoard in 9 courses that started this January.

The information gained from students, TAs and instructors in this pilot will be important as we move towards the full implementation of a new LMS which will start in May 2012.

Please watch for upcoming communications from the Centre for Teaching and Learning about deadlines for creating new courses for the spring and fall terms and for migrating content from WebCT Vista into BlackBoard Learn.  We will also be offering a variety of orientations, workshops, one on one consultations and best practice information for moving you and your courses as seamlessly as possible into this new environment.

If you have any questions or concerns, please contact a member of the eLearning team:  Janine.hirtz@ubc.ca 250-807-9133 or Vania.chan@ubc.ca 250-807-9408.
