Chemistry 333 (the old OUC chem 314), Spectroscopic Techniques in Organic Chemistry

This course focuses on building the skills required to take a pile of spectrometric data (IR, MS, NMR) and use it to determine the structure of an organic molecule. We did a solid introduction into the topic in second year organic, but will take it much further in this course. We will spend a lot of time working through problems, and give you enough theory to get by on.

There will be weekly marked problem sets (mostly assigned from Organic Structures from Spectra) that will constitute a large percentage of your mark. These will be due before the beginning of class on Wednesday of each week.
