in review

On October 22nd, faculty were provided with the opportunity to hear Dr. Cynthia Mathieson's views on teaching and learning as part of our D.A.T.E. series (Discussions about Teaching Excellence). Rather than focusing on excellence, she favored some "I" words like Intuition and  Inspiration. She shared her experiences as an educator and then had an open discussion with those in attendance. These discussions never fail to raise important issues that all faculty face in their teaching and the open discussion provides everyone a chance to contribute best practices. Thanks Cynthia and all the participants for keeping the conversation about teaching and learning going. Our next D.A.T.E. will be November. 19th with guest Dr. Patricia Lasserre, one of the latest recipients of the award for Teaching Excellence and Innovation.
