In Spring 2004, the weekly database seminar could be taken for credit by interested graduate students. 11 students enrolled in the course and all received a grade in the A range. There were very good discussions on topics during the semester including data mining, model management, the Lowell database research report, and query inference algorithms. Two students used the meeting to practice their qualifying exam defenses, Terry Mason and Eduard Dragut. The meetings were Wednesdays 2:30-3:20 in 317 MacLean Hall.
