Shirin Golchi

I am a statistician with an interest and speciality in Bayesian modelling and computational methods. I look for interesting problems where new statistical methodology together with efficient computational tools can help scientists answer important questions. I have worked on a variety of problems with applications in physics, social sciences and mathematical biology.

Currently, I work as a postdoctoral researcher at the University of British Columbia - Okanagan. Before coming to UBC I worked as a postdoctoral researcher at the Applied Statstics Centre, Columbia University in New York City. I graduated with a PhD in Statistics from Simon Fraser University in 2014.
